Illinois Broaching Co., Inc. is a leading manufacturer of machining solutions and broaching services for a broad range of industries. Our experienced staff of engineers and machinists welcomes complex projects and turn each into a quality, finished product.
A recent project for a customer in the hospitality industry demonstrated our expertise in manufacturing multiple pieces and assembling them into a single product. We worked off our customer’s specifications to develop a faucet shaft, otherwise known as a beer tapper. This smaller part measuring .438” (O.D.) x 2.187” (L) required qualities such as durability and corrosion-resistance.
Our team used the latest CNC, drill and broaching equipment on 360 brass to manufacture individual pieces, keeping within the ±.0005” tolerance specified by the customer. We typically run 10,000 to 20,000 pieces in a production run of this product and inspect two pieces every hour to ensure part integrity. Once plated and assembled into the finished product, we deliver to the customer. The entire process takes three weeks.
